Class card and amuse-bouche

Today's post serves a dual purpose:  It's my amuse-bouche for the day and a preview of one of cards we'll be making in my "A Copic Christmas" class on Saturday at Stampin' EJs in Costa Mesa.

Students in the class will be making simple cards like this that emphasize special Copic blending and shading techniques. These techniques will help you get the most out of using your Copics with stamped images.  This is a great class for those hoping to get some practice and learn more about the effective use of the markers.  Space is still available and you can find more information on how to register by linking to my class schedule here.   Students who take this class will learn how to make this beautiful card.

I have to say, this new tree silhouette stamp by A Muse doesn't need much!  So it's the perfect stamp to pair with a unique background made with Copics.  All of the stamps in this release are so wonderful!  You can get your hands on them by visiting an A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA store.  You can find a list of participating stores on the A Muse website.

Celebration Saturday

I'm looking forward to being back at Paper Tales in San Diego this Saturday!

I'll be teaching a fun A Muse class where we'll make beautiful cards for those important occasions in life.  Make the perfect cards for celebrations like a shower, wedding, and anniversary.

I'll also be co-teaching with Michelle, the owner of Paper Tales!  Learn how to get the most out of your Copic markers in our Copic 101 class.

I've had a great time these past two weekends teaching my Spring is in the Air class! This class features 5 cards using fun techniques and A Muse's adorable new stamps from their recent Spring line of stamps.

It was a great class and I was thrilled to finally meet the store owner, Eva!  

She's is just so sweet and enthusiastic and I'm looking forward to teaching more classes for her in the future!  I'm grateful for a LSS in my area and thrilled to be able and support her!

I had another great weekend teaching classes at The Stampin' Post in Temecula and Paper Tales in San Diego!  I just had to share a couple pictures of my favorite student:

   

How adorable is she!?!  I was amazed at what a great worker she was (she worked for the whole 2 hours) and the beautiful relationship between she and her mom.  I can tell she was really trying hard (notice the tongue in the first picture... LOL!) And check out the very cool person she created (all on her own!) out of a full sheet of A Muse kitchen paper!!!!  What an artista!  Look out everyone - I bet she'll be an A Muse designer one day :)

So much fun...

I had such a great time teaching my classes at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway!  The good news is, I get to do it all over again this coming weekend!  More classes in Temecula and San Diego (see class descriptions in the right column).

One of the things I love the most (besides all the stamping and adorable A Muse products) are all of the wonderful people I meet!  Thought I would share some photos of these fabulous women I got to play with this past weekend...  Here's Kat showing off a card with one of her favorite stamps, the Love Monster.  The second picture is of Heather, who always has a beautiful smile, and is working that ribbon! You go girl!  The third picture is Barb, who was WAY IMPRESSED at the awesome quality of A Muse stamps (so nice to see that this experienced stamper could really tell the difference!) and then Analyn who is looking forward to making treats for an upcoming wedding.

I think my favorite pic is Peggie here, who is proudly showing off that roll of mounting tape!  She is such a blast and I'm planning on converting this scrapbooker into a total card maker where mounting tape is our best friend! LOL!

First Classes at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway, CA

I'm so excited to be teaching my first classes in Poway THIS SATURDAY at Cool Scrapbook Stuff. 

I have two classes planned:

♥ 2 UR BFFS : A Muse cards for friends. Make five fabulous cards that you can give to show a little ♥ to your friends. Valentine Treats: A Muse valentines with a sweet touch! Learn how to make quick and easy valentines that are perfect for special friends and can easily be mass-produced!  Including this adorable hugs & kisses project:

How much fun have the sneak peeks by the A Muse creative team been?  I've so enjoyed checking out all the girl's blogs and seeing their fabulous creations with A Muse's new valentine stamps.  Thanks so much to all of you for supporting your local stamp store and purchasing your stamps there.  For those of you in a stamp store desert, you can get your hands on the new rubber by visiting the A Muse site today!

BFFs

Just wanted to share a photo from my class at Paper Tales last Saturday.  Here I am with Ally, Kate, and Meaghan.  We had a blast making fun cards to give to our BFFs!  Each is holding her favorite card.  The girls were awesome and not afraid to get creative and add their own personal style to their cards.  

Kate and Meaghan came all the way from Arlington, VA!  Their very cool aunt treated them to the class... aren't aunts the best?
