Baby card! Oy!
I don't know why, but I have the hardest time making baby cards. Turns out, making the card for Mr. Harley last week was so much easier for me, cat trumps baby! *laugh*
I do struggle with the baby cards - I'm not much of a pastel girl and I'm pretty sure it's inappropriate to put a martini glass on a baby card (or is it?), so getting my crafty mojo going there is tough.
To make matters worse, several of my good friends are pregnant right now or just had a baby.
AK!
So, I decided to take a funky route here and got my inspiration from a baby pattern by Dwell Studio that I do think is fun and has a nice modern twist:
Perfect for my friend and new mama who loves owls :)
It's been a while since I made a window card (first taught to me by the fabulous Miss Julie) - I like the effect of having the tree and owl on the front of the card, right at the edge of the window, and the crib stamped inside.
Congrats to the new family! I'm perfectly happy being an auntie ;)
Adorable baby card, what are you talkiing' about! She'll love it!

Love your story... I feel exactly the same way. If only we could put a martini glass on a baby card...
Adorable card... great work.
