When you got the blues, you just gotta keep on swimming!

I had fun making this card for the Moxie Fab World "Cure for the Winter Blues" challenge (which is on until March 12th).  There is something so gratifying about navy blue to me - I almost always think "nautical" and it's one of the few times I like a punch of red.  Fun challenge!

Free time!

Woohoo!  I'm so excited to have a litle extra time this week.  The school I teach as has 3 furlough days sandwiched among the President's holidays, giving me much needed time to get ahead on a lot of work.  It's also giving me the chance to wake up when my body is ready (rather than the usual yucky 5:20am) and wander around my neighborhood a bit.  

I found this little guy hard at work yesterday

and while on my porch planting some flowers, I also found this little girl hard at work - you'd think she'd have the courtesy to at least clean up after herself!

I also found a little time this morning to participate in this week's Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World, which makes me very happy as I've had so few opportunities to do that lately.

There's a LOT going on in this image, and I was most inspired by all of the colors and patterns.  After trying a few things (like building an elaborate house, what was I thinking?) I figured simplifying was better.

I like the combination of the papers, the little red button, and the cute bird...

You are Cu*te

Happy valentines everyone!  Just a quick post to share with you some of the cute mini valentines I made for my hubby.  I think I squealed out loud when I discovered that Our Craft Lounge had fun chemistry related valentines stamps (Molla Cutie and Love Potion).  These are all little mini cards/tags for a few small gifts.  Perfect for my guy, and hopefully you will enjoy too!
